Chief Executive Officer
South Central Kansas Medical Center, a PPS Acute care, quasi-municipal hospital of the city of Arkansas City. It is located in a new building that was completed just 3 1/2 years ago, with the latest imaging and other equipment. SCKMC has 37 beds (including 6 LDRP suites and 4 bed ICU), eight primary care physicians on staff, an employed general surgeon and employed OB/GYN. Numerous other specialties populate the medical staff. The organization is actively recruiting more providers. The CEO will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for SCKMC by working with the nine member Board of Trustees and experienced, committed management team to maintain the mission and vision of the organization.
This individual must possess demonstrated leadership skills based on experience as a CEO and/or other positions in general health management. Applicants must have good communication skills and the ability to maintain and foster alliances within the community.
The ideal candidate will have a proven and progressive record of accomplishment as a senior executive in a rural hospital, possess a degree in business and/or healthcare administration (a master's degree in healthcare or business administration is preferred), and experience with medical staff and regulatory issues.
